a ghost story
"okay," he said, reaching out with his hand in surrender. "you want one story, i have one story." marius positioned his pen and paper ready to jot while the man looked around, behind him and to the side. in a hushed voice, the very cute man revealed that "one night i was here...alone... and i swear i felt something touch the back of my neck. ever so slighty- just reach out and touch the back of my neck." we all ooohed and shuddered. we were standing in the dank basement of a haunted hourse in rogers park. this building, marius had been told by the ghost chasers, had an amazing amount of ghost-energy and was most definitly haunted. so i tagged along with marius & lisa to check it out- interview some people who worked and lived there. we met up with some contractors who were remodeling the interior of this two-story marble and brick building and they invited us in and told us about the ougie (spelling?) board they found burried under the bar and took us into the low ceilinged basement that housed a live spring. (the night before i had had a premenition of this scene) unfortunatly marius did not find what he wanted which was to find people who lived in houses with ghosts but the entertainment of skirting around chicago and interviewing people about ghosts was quite fun in itself.
