she reminded me how important & healthy a flood of emotion can be. i understood her temporary numbness & was thrilled to see her sitting across from me with a radiant smile on her face- full of energy & excitement.
"i feel again", she told me and i could tell because we couldnt stop chattering the entire afternoon.
we marveled at the michigan avenue christmas lights & browsed the racks at my favorite (and most unreasonably priced) store. people have remarked that we are too loud, too rambunctious, laugh to much and talk to fast when we are together. i think it is just pure energy bouncing at an immense speed back and forth back and forth between us. it was a wondeful reason to leave my heavy blankets and sleeping boy this morning. (and that is saying something!)
