Jazz

"i cant even focus enough to read," i commented as my eyes frantically wandered through the dessert section of the menu. my tummy growled for something chocolate and spongy but i just couldnt concentrate long enough to figure out if the brown bomber included brownie or just chocolate ice cream. (midnight cravings usually always include something chocolate.) ian came to the rescue: he pointed out it was the pyramid that would best suit my hunger and i praised him as brilliant.

"its the jazz!" marius exploded excitedly from across the table. his fingers wiggled in the air next to his ear as though he was agressively signing something to us. lisa and i exchanged clueless glances. we had just sat through two sets of jazz at the green mill. "the jazz has funked up your brain! you better watch out, jenny."

i guess jazz can really get you these days. nevertheless, we eventually arrived safe at home: jazz playing softly on the radio while we cruised down western. we were taking our chances.

i was browsing through the bookstore saturday and found a really neat photographer: daido mariyama. this website has some of his images. (my favorite is titled "tights". its something i think emily would like.) enjoy!
