five minutes have been added to my daily commute & the more they rack up, the more i am feeling them. but in this detoured time it makes me smile when in my rearview i see george on his phone chatting away to his wife or the librarian cutting me off only to apologize profusely later in the lounge. the teardown of the bridge has literally made us an island & every morning i jump on the boughton ferry with all my lunchmates & think about how i will miss everyone next year.
