august august august!
i can hardly believe you are here.
it's true: august is dawning on me & i have already sent my first month's rent off to the northern city. but first, before i leave, i have this beautiful month expanding before me. i just returned from the ACE hardware & have collected glimpses of paint colors that i can choose for my bedroom. how snappy the names of these colors are: nantucket fog, dill pickle, semolina, & gossamer blue. i am planning on gray & white snowy winters so maybe i need the warmth of reds and yellows for the cozy eveningsi will share with neuroanatomy & kinesiology. for now i can anticipate the changing colors of fall while i am still safely settled among friends and summer. i am not working this month (hurrah!) which allows me to finish my summer school classes, visit with all loved ones, welcome our new joy into the household (more on that later), and write write write until the wee hours of the morning. how good it feels to return to fiction. i have found true inspiration in lauren g, kyle 1, kyle 2, & elizabeth's eager participation in our informal writer's workshop. (i love you like a life depends on it's marrow). i hope everyone has a wonderful start to august & i will be contacting you with my new information.
