"Morgan is such a romantic. Like a train ride to Alaska." Melissa nudged Hannah in the ribcage with her elbow. Hannah wrinkled her nose and gulped down a shot of Yeager. Hannah does not find our trip to Alaska romantic.
"But Morgan, he notices these details. We will all be walking down the street, noticing the obvious, and then Morgan will be hunched over something in the street saying something like 'Now how about that? Look at this slug in the middle of the loop. How did that get here?' I think that's why his photography is so amazing. It's the details that he recognizes: the hamburger smudged on the wall of the el, lips stained orange by candy coated drinks, the snake in the gutter. We all just pass them by but he really sees them." We marveled for a moment over the success of our friends.
"You know, Morgan always said we were the coolest kids in highschool." And after three half-and-halfs, Melissa decided to agree. "I should call him to tell him."
