"oh! oh! oh!" stef gasps from the center of a bookworming crowd. taking my hungry eyes off the titles by jane hamilton & hemmingway i saw what stef was excited about: a wagon load of three pug puppies in red collars sitting next to the complete works of galileo. "oh! oh!" i responded and we trailed after the wagon past several booths, deciding if our ideal dog could be one of these puppies. maybe if we just snuck one in our coat...
stef & i enjoyed printers row this weekend downtown chicago. the event is a few blocks crammed with tiny tents sampling the used/ novelty bookshops from all over the area. there is nothing more fun for a wannabenerd than picking up a book and having the person (whose elbow is in your ribs from being in such close proximity) telling you what a great read it is because they just read it last week.
