it's confirmed:
in my letter of orientation it was confirmed that i will be assigned a locker to store my smock, long sleeved shirt or scrubs for use in the anatomy cadaver lab. sometimes as i pass through a phrase, sentance, or paragraph i find it is loaded with a million senses, memories, and thoughts fly through my head. keywords:
retrospect to locker: junior year high school where i share a locker with adam&michelle. we focus our locker decor on a single scandelous picture of bob dylan smoking a cigarette. & even though it is adam&michelle who adore bob dylan and i am just a fan of tangled up in blue, this picture relaxes me despite my chemistry labs, forgotten gym uniform, and the overall overhead hanging flourescent lights.
smock: back in mrs sereno's art class first through fifth grade. each child, including myself, wears an oversized middle class working man's shirt. button-up is essential and we wear these shirts backward so we need each other's assistance in dressing for art class. "indian ink will stain your skin until the day you get married so DONT get it on your fingers" mrs sereno warns every time we use ink to draw the dusty wine and whisky bottles (probably banned from public schools now) she has collected over her thirty years of teaching. and to a twelve year old "getting married" translates to never so we are extra careful with our bottles of ink because if we stain ourselves we will have to get married to remove it.
cadaver: according to andrea's descriptive experience pertaining to her own cadaver dissecting experience and applying it to my own life, meat will disgust me by thanksgiving but i should be able to eat beef by christmas.
