This past week I took a few days off to do some serious winter recovery. Unfortunately, the weather was less then optimal as it was rainy & rather cool 75% of the days. I did, however, manage to do a few fun things which made the week rock despite the weather.
1. A late night motorcycle ride post Foley/ Rachleou party
2. French toast with Ben at a greasy dive diner on a rainy Thursday afternoon
3. Morning jogging with garden ogling & Wendy
4. A little evening airplane ride over a Cubs game, Ben & my house, & Lake Michigan
5. Rainy Saturday morning chai & writer's date with Ebeth a la Ennui
6. Writing page 50 on my little book (yay new years resolution!)
7. An afternoon stroll with a beloved ex-patient who inspires me
8. Completion of a 2.5 year project: the wedding album
9. Homemade honey pine nut ice cream & strawberries with Melissa
1o. Multiple bon fires & thus multiple marshmallows with Mark
11. A few drinks & dancing with Michelle, little G, & a super cute Anna
12. Afternoon dates with friends and their newborns
13. Missing & then reuniting with my dearest Angela for brownies on the lake
So launching myself into work proved to be ugh this morning but Jenna and I took a handful of patients to the beach for therapy. Our morning consisted of one legged balancing in the sand, money management in a pavilion, and strolling on the beach with patients. It was truly lovely and I couldn't have asked for a better Monday morning.
